Hi. I have an upcoming date and need a restaurant or gastro pub recommendation around Broadway. Any recommendations? I don't mind splashing out a bit cost wise, but don't want anything too fussy like a Michelin place.

An added bonus would be somewhere that we could go for a little walk before or after.

Thanks

Horse and groom at Bourton on the Hill, is very good, and Batsfords Arboretum for a walk. I used to rate Russells in Broadway, but it went down hill so i haven't been for years.

Buckland Manor just outside Broadway - good food and impressive setting.

Just back from a week near Broadway. Two recommendations: Hook Restaurant at Fish Hotel - far from cheap but we thought very good indeed, despite the pernicious addition of a 'discretionary' service charge although the service was actually very good. Secondly, the Ebrington Arms in Ebrington the other side of Chipping Campden - somewhat more economic but very good food. Initially, service was a problem (inexperienced staff, I think) but that was resolved and we enjoyed the meal.

Should have included in the last post. The Fish is on the Farncombe Estate across which there are footpaths for a walk. Also on the estate is the Dormie House. Went there about 3 years ago and prefer the Hook
