I’m in London for 2 nights next month and I’m staying next to Hyde park. Willing to travel a bit, so where would you say the best Sushi restaurant to eat is?

Sumi in Notting Hill is my go to.
Yashin is also extremely good in Ken High Street.

Sumi is very good indeed.

A lot of the high profile Japanese places seem to be very Instagram friendly so are perhaps (over) priced accordingly, but of those, Zuma has always seemed to have the best food to me

If you want it to be all about the food and less pretentious/Instagram, try Hannah.

It’s Omakase only in the evenings, not a quick affair. Obviously omakase only works if you’re prepared to trust the chef and are willing to try things that you probably wouldn’t order a la carte, so don’t expect the place to be filled with Europeans wanting “a bit of sushi”.

Thanks guys. Trying to book Yashin, earliest table they have is 6pm. Will I have enough time to get from there to the Eventim Apollo for a show at 7:30pm?

Sumi by far the best out of all those I tried. I also liked Kuyamoto on Chiswick High Street/Turnham Green but was only ever there as a casual, after work type dinner.
