Now I know Brewdog have screwed up on a few things so I'm just a bit sceptical.....

Got an email about Brewdog Plus - you get 150 quid to spend in their bars for 99 quid. This is a once a year thing. You can't spend more than 50 quid in a day, you get a free coffee everyday, other benefits too which I'll probably never use (free p&p on deliveries, etc).

As I'm currently in Oxford and was going to hit the Brewdog bar as have never been in one yet, this seems like quite a good deal ? Basically 2/3 the price.

Anybody else done it yet ?

I'll be heading to Reading too where there's another bar........

Seems like a good deal, I guess they bank on repeat custom, like a loss leader. I'm a big BD fan, might give it a go.

Just seems to be another attempt by BD to raise funds quickly. Have to keep pumping that quoted value laugh

I don't know about the stock market, if you are a BD fan, seems like a good deal. A free coffee a day must be worth it alone.

I used to be a big fan of Brew Dog, drank Punk IPA since the start as a friend of a friend was their head brewer. Quit drinking a couple of years ago and had been hearing bad stuff about James Watt too so was avoiding it anyway.

Now they seem to be pushing more and more into tech start up fundraising techniques. Which seems weird since they ostensibly make beer. I guess they could only milk the equity for punks thing for so long.

Get your free flight of beer, burn up the £150 credit and you've already got a good deal. If you order from the online shop already then it works out a good deal. It does look like a plan to drive more visits to the bars and online shop.

I do read of complaints that the bars are struggling to understand how to redeem things like the free coffee.

The free flight is for shareholders taking up the deal. My email will be different if you are not a shareholder.

Well I'm in - they now hold 99 quid of my money.

I'm preparing for the worst - ordering a round, the QR code/scanner doesn't work, they demand cash payment, I refuse, Police are called.......

I think if I look at it this way the outcome can only be better........

they shut the peterhead bar at very short notice-upsetting staff and locals alike
their popularity appears to be decreasing looking at social media posts

They closed a few bars that were consistently losing money. A few of the bars that closed permanently had been closed for a while before. All staff were offered alternative jobs.

The BD brewery is still expanding to keep up with demand. There are new bars opening all the time.

Brewdog in Carlisle is right next door to 'spoons where the Punk IPA is over £2 a pint cheaper!

I went to the new Brewdog at The Sidings at Waterloo Station last week and was really impressed. Fantastic range of beers and ciders available and the sharing platters especially the Korean BBQ loaded fries were amazing. Table service was very fast and efficient. Very impressed.

Well managed to have my first free coffee today at Brewdog Oxford.

Was meant to go back later to tuck into my credit but got sidetracked......

Pints are on average 6 quid a pint which is fair enough (other nearby pubs are charging similar for pints of real ale).

What I was horrified at was the price of the cans yikes

£5.40 for a small tin of Elvis ?
£4.65 for Hazy Jane's ?
WTF ?

Have you downloaded the Brewdog Now app? EJ is showing as £3.40 and HJ £2.65. Something is wrong with those prices on the fridge. I wouldn't go to a bar and drink cans.

As for the prices in BD or other craft beer bars. The prices are higher. The whole culture of craft beer is to pay staff good wages and conditions.

They are prices for collection only sadly on the app

Indeed. No problem with the prices for draught beer there. In fact it's quite reasonable really compared to nearby pubs selling pints of Youngs Original for the same price !

As an update to this - all very confusing.

I have managed to have a free coffee one morning - success !!

I came to a Brewdog pub, sat at a table, used the app, put in an order - no way to use my 'credit' held by Brewdog (my money). Was thirsty so just paid normally, got a couple of email confirmations.

Order was wrong but I got more beer so couldn't complain at that point !

You have to log into the Brewdog website to get your Brewdog Plus QR code to use at the till.

You have to log into the app to order table service but can't use your Brewdog plus credit.

Staff don't really understand (or aren't interested in showing you) how Brewdog Plus works.

Work in progress........
