I have a hankering to do this recipe

https://www.greatbritishchefs.com/recipes/paneer-a...

But where do the PH recommend buying quality Paneer ?

Clearly the stuff in your normal Indian is not likely to be up to scratch for this, and I'm not willing to make my own for a 1st try

Any recommendations appreciated

All depends what you mean by quality, there’s not a lot to it! I’ve eaten a lot in india & if I’m doing stuff at home, processed block from Tesco is sufficient.

Love paneer; always have Tikka paneer as a starter if out for an Indian.

That recipe looks great.

Make it yourself it’s very easy

If you must buy it Desi Paneer from Sainsburys or Pakeezer paneer from Morissons is decent. Very few restaurants make their own.

Both those are fine. IME making your own paneer is fun and not difficult but it's also barely worth the trouble. Paneer is really just a vehicle for the flavours you cook it in. The stuff itself doesn't make much difference, although the texture of homemade is softer which some may prefer to the more solid processed blocks.

Enjoy!
