I fancied a biscuit the other day (we don't tend to have sweet stuff in the house).

I couldn't be bothered to all I to the village so I made some shortbread

125 gms softened butter
55 gms caster sugar
180 gmx plain flour

Cream butter and sugar, add flour, roll out 1 cm thick, use a wine glass to press out. Put in fridge for 30 minutes, oven at 170 for 15-20 minutes. Makes about 12.

Bloody lovely.

I'm now thinking of adding stuff like chocolate chips.

Sounds interesting. a sprig on top, or chopped and added to the mix?
