I don't mean Michelin stars, I mean proper Milanese grub and plenty of it. Anyone been wowed by a back street Trattoria?

I recently went to this grill, it might be Argentinian but the food was lovely!

I was taken here for dinner a few years ago by some locals - it was very very nice..

The "Elephants Ear" (Cotoletta alla Milanese) was very good to my uneducated palette smile

That looks lovely. I know tripe is very local but that's not happening, I don't think!

Looks fantastic but a little far from where we're staying. Noted for another time when we have longer in the city - only one night this time

Another one that looks fab but too far again. Also noted for a return visit.

If anyone is still interested, we ended up here: https://menu.masuellitrattoria.com/ and really enjoyed it.

Was in Milan last month

This place was good
https://osteriamammarosa.it/

The area round Navigli is where many locals go for a lively night out
We eat here one night and it was good, but there are hundreds of other places that would be worth trying
