Am not in any way a cook, and wondered if anyone has any experince/houghts on Hello Fresh, Gousto etc?
Also looking to reduce calorie intake from carbs, bread etc, hence a cooked meal every evening and little else is an option, I know the price is high is, mainl issue is I am on my own and often these are set up for 2 people?

Foods tasty and variety is pretty good.
Recipes can be fiddly, 10 small packets of something, alot of steps etc, can be a pain after a hard day's work.
Portions aren't the biggest. Fine if you have 2 because you can only dish up what you've got, but when doing it solo I ended up eating for 2. Manual job so needed the calories, two-thirds served up for tea seemed about right, but the last third wasn't enough for a lunch or different dinner so ended up eating the lot.
Good deals for new customers.
Carbs aint the demon they're made out to be.

Just get tesco (other supermarkets are available) to deliver all the stuff you would have got in one of those boxes. If you worked out what you get in every box for a week you could maybe by all the stuff in one go every week
Cooking good food at a sensible cost is really not difficult see this https://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/easy_spaghetti_...
The biggest issue is working out what you want to eat each day and then making it rather than just grabbing a take away or ready meal.
Batch cooking is the easiest way, spend a day cooking up big batches of , chilli, spag bol or anything else you fancy devide up and freeze. Then its just a case of warming it up and adding some rice or pasta, easy and probably no more effort than heating up a ready meal or ordering a take away.
