Off the Shelf Stock

I know home made stock is the 'proper' route to take but sometimes the convenience of ready made is inescapable. Any recommendations of what the best readily available, off the shelf stock is? Looking for both beef and chicken
Thanks
It's Pistonheads.Thanks
Despite you clearly acknowledging that you know home made is better but you simply want the convenience of ready made, someone will be along soon to tell you to simply slow roast a couple of chickens for 3 hours, remove the meat, dice up onion, celery, carrots, add sage, bay leaves, a dash of white wine, season and simmer for 6-8 hours for quick and easy chicken stock.
The best is "Better than Bouillon" but it ain't cheap especially my favourite (i've just ordered a twin pack off ebay) the killer is the postage from the USA. It's available to buy in the UK (Amazon etc. but usually dearer again) chicken, vegetable, mushroom etc. are a fair bit cheaper though. It simply is the best in my opinion. Super concentrated paste that does last though.........
