Sounds curdly grim.

What flavour squash (say anything citrus and I'm leaving you to the thread...).

My older brother and his mates force fed me a similar concoction when I was a kid, never again, drinking it by choice should lead to being sectioned.

I remember as a child wondering why you didn't get orange milkshake. A glass of Kiora and milk soon answered that. vomit

And mine! Golly, forgot about that treat, I'll have to dive down the nostalgia rabbit hole later.

I use the 'no added sugar' squash so the milk doesn't curdle, as for flavour...apple & blackcurrent, put in enough to turn the milk pink and it brings out the fruit flavours

I remember a syrup from the 70s called 'Crusha', specifically for adding to milk.

Well blow me it's still made!

If it was disgusting back then, I can't imagine the ban on sugar and artificial flavourings have improved it.

Mine was milk with ribena, it curdled and looked grim in the glass so it was chucked.

I used to live off banana crusha milkshake at school.

A pint of banana milkshake to help wash down my sausage roll and chips

It's not sugar that makes milk curdle, it's acid. But unlike fruit juice I doubt squash has acid in it. Point is, it doesn't need to be sugar free.
