I have found Amazon to be an interesting place to source unusual/random/imported booze, snacks, coffee, soft drinks, bulk boxes of genuine Japanese instant noodles, imported chocolates/sweets…. You name it.

I’m interested to read what you have bought from there smile

Occasionally bought a crate but more often I would buy the powdered sachets, it’s great stuff especially when ice cold. There’s an asian supermarket near my work that stocks it so haven’t had to buy any this year.

I think that is the Japanese one that is touted on Chris Broads "Abroad in Japan" podcast (worth a listen)

What does it taste of?

Buy this from our local Asian supermarket, love the stuff.

I was in Japan last summer and it was incredibly hot and humid so was drinking a lot of this. Very refreshing and thirst quenching.

I buy vodka from there, I don't drink like I used to so tend to stick with the good stuff, Belvedere, it's often 29quid delivered for 70cl. Though I do get annoyed when it shows I buy every month biggrin.

They do 1kg boxes of fizzy type sweets that often gets bought. Or the really large dairy milk bars, good stocking filler.

But basically anything now, its rare I need to go to other sites for anything (like ebay) as often on amazon, cheaper. Saying that, clothes are often highly variable in quality so tend to avoid that.

Mmmm, love me some Pocari Sweat when we're in Japan. It makes you wonder - what sort of animal is a Pocari?

Yuzu Kosho is yuzu (Japanese citrus) with salted chilli / pepper in paste format. Use it as marinade on fish, on sushi instead of wasabi or I most use it as a schmear on toasted cheese sandwiches - so good!

Turkish pepper paste is like paprika paste. I first tried it in a Turkish chicken marinade but we've since been using it in sauces / stews / base for quick pitta pizza things:

2 minute noodles are for plebs. Us powerfully built company directors go for the fancy Indonesian 3 minute noddles with 3 separate flavour sachets. Cut up some spring onions, radish and some Japanese pickles and it's almost like a real meal:
