Had to spread the word - sainsburyswine.co.uk doing a 25% off cases of 6 bottles of wine at the moment.

...and had to recommend this:

http://www.sainsburyswine.co.uk/Webstore/product_d...

..if you can't see it for some reason it's the Castillo de Calatrava Gran Reserva 1996 La Mancha - if you like Spanish, this one is absolutely fantastic....and with the offer only £3.74/bottle!

Slurp on.

Yikes. Time to stock up for the winter season, I feel... that said a 'C' category Tempranillo may be a bit thin, hence the big price cut!

It's not thin at all IMO.

Anyway, an 11 year old Gran Reserva for less than £4 a bottle and you're picking holes!

Yeah, I think in store it's currently at £5/bottle - if you don't like it, you can slap me in the face at the next wine tasting evening.

It's all down to personal taste really, I've bought a few bottles of that when it has been on offer and really liked it. In fact there's one in the rack downstairs now...
