I like my G & T and have tried most of the normal candidates including Plymouth Dry and Bombay etc... Really liked Plymouth previously.

Just tried Blackwoods Vintage Gin from Shetland... ABSOLUTELY SUPERB and it makes Bombay taste mundane.

TRY IT... available in Sainsburys etc...

I am not associated with them I'm just VERY impressed with their gin.

Hope someone else has a comment on it.

Currently have a rapidly declining bottle sitting on the kitchen side, along with an empty ice tray and a bottle of tonic. Very nice gin indeed.
Does this mean we need a Gin forum? thumbup

Maybe indeed, just drink a bottle of Hendricks and I must say the Blackwoods pi$$es all over it.

Excellent, Bombay, Hendricks are great regular drinking gins but I've always quite liked Tanqueray Ten when i'm out. I'll have to give this ago.

We usuallyhave Bombay, because I like the sweetness. Currently have Tanqueray in the cupboard and that's going down pretty well. Can you describe the taste of the Blackwoods Fish?

How much is the Blackwoods - in comparison to the usual Bombay we buy? Sounds like one we should try.

Oh and lemons or limes? Heard a while back that limes are best and have to agree.
