Dear wise ones,

I've decided my newest fetish is classic eggs Benedict.. It's remarkably simple, with the exception of one thing. If the answer to my question is yes, then it's remarkably simple, full stop.

Can you buy hollandaise sauce? It looks a bit of a faff, compared to the rest of the dish, especially for first thing on a sunday morning...

So, if so, where can I acquire said yellowy goodness?

Cheers..

You can. Its ok, its near the mustard in most shops.

However, I reckon I could make a 10x better version in the time it takes you to go and buy a jar.

Even if you go overboard and make loads, it'll keep in the fridge ok for a few days.

Try making some first before you decide it's a faff, you might be surprised and it WILL taste better.

You can even make it in the blender if you want it extra quick.

I'll have a look in the fridge at the brand I have - decided that as it's only me that will eat it I wasn't going to make it but would buy the best available in the supermarket.

I too have a simple love for Eggs Benedict. I blam an ex who took me to a restaurant near a quayside in Birmingham one Sunday morning about 4 years ago-first time I'd had it and I still love it!
