You should be ok smile ...well you'll know by the morning anyway biggrin
I think the use by dates probably have a couple of days grace on them, as large supermarkets wouldn't like to risk widespread food poisoning claims.

I quite often get the reduced items (short dated) food and freeze/ eat it the following day - not had a problem with that yet smile

Just watched "What would happen if...?" on National Geographic and one of the topics was "out of date food"

http://natgeochannel.co.uk/explore/ask

Ask a freegan - these skip wallers go through Supermarket skips and scavange the stuff that has been taken off the shelf for being past its "sell by" date

http://freegan.info/

There's quite a difference between sell by, use by!

I personally use the dates as a guide althought t'other half made me chuck a lasagne and cottage pie in bin last week (they were home made and stored in freezer) dates were 2006 frown waste of food??

In the current "compo culture", use by dates are very conservative. One extra day in the fridge will make no difference, and your nose will normally tell you if something is genuinely "off".

Of course, if you are unlucky, bad chicken normally presents (from both ends) at 2am.

Let us know how you get on. wink

Of course there's nothing wrong with it. It's only one day out of date.

Same as if you drop something on the floor and pick it up within five seconds - nothing wrong with.

Didn't they do this on Mythbusters in the "less bacteria on toilet seat" myth
