I love a nice milkshake in the summer, nice and refreshing. So lets here some ideas for new shakes.

I personally really like the chocolate Brownie milkshake from Shakeaway in Kingston upon Thames.

At home a really nice one to try is mango. Dice some mangoes, and blitz them up with vanilla icecream and milk, make sure it's quite thick. Lovely. In summer we'll get the boxes of mangoes from indian food shops and this milkshake is great if they have gone a bit soft to eat.

Another nice one is rose milkshake. Get some rose milkshake syrup (the red one), I think it's made in Singapore and is available from most asian food stores. Put in plenty of vanilla ice cream and some milk and get it really frothy. That's quite nice as well. For the syrup get the one below, other brands are nowhere near as nice.

So what do you guys like?

Simple banana - bananas, vanilla ice cream, milk. Perfect. Also try the mars bar milkshake - gentle melt a bar (as kids we'd leave it in the packet in a sunny position) and add milk and ice cream :P Couldn't do it now it's too sickly for me.

Also love iced coffee in the summer - ice, good espresso coffee, whole milk :P

There's a place in Brighton called 'Shake Away' where you can have practically anything you want in your shake. My favourite is Snickers with Malt, although you could equally have Jelly Babies with Weatabix if you were so inclined.

Thanks for the suggestions. Deffo going to try the Oreo cookies one, that should work well.

Yeah there is a shakeaway in Kingston as well which I mentioned in my original post. They do all sorts, one of the weirder ones is TicTacs milkshake. Never dared to try it though.

If you're lazy, TFI Friday's do them - they are to die for (literally the way it clogs the arteries as it goes down :P )!

Mm one in Bath too - have not had a sweetie one yet, just the fruit ones and love them - have tried someone else's double decker but was too sickly for me.

I know its not a milkshake, but it dose remind me of a 'boys' ski trip 15 yrs ago when I made porridge with baileys instead of milk, set everyone up for the day!

My favourite Shakeaways are the Battenburg or Frys Peppermint. Lovely.
We make alot at home though and just chuck whatever we have in, be it old desserts, trifle, cherry pie, chocolate bars. Can't go wrong.
