Orange Juice = Diabetes
Discussion
So not only is drinking, red wine) bad for me,apparently water can give you brain damage, now orange juice increases your chance of Diabetes by 24%.
I have a large glass of juice every morning, which I enjoy and thought was good for me.
Question. Is all carton bought juice bad, what can I buy that won't kill me ?

Its all to do with the glycemic index and insulin spike.....just drink your juice with some toast and olive oil spread and you will be fine......(the fat will negate the insulin spike).....
OK, but what about the sugar content in Juice from concentrate ? Is this still good for me? Sugar, either refined, like we put in tea etc or fructose (as found in fruit) is good for an instant short lasting energy spike, but really needs to be limited as it is now believed to be one of the major factors contributing to diabetes. The vitamins in fruit and certain fruit juices are very good for us but in order to minimize the release of insulin you should really eat someting at the same time, either fibre, protein or fat as these will lower the insulin spike caused by the sugar.

Bugger - I thought thge orange juice was offsetting the sausage, bacon and tomato fried in beef dripping. Oh and the mushrooms in butter. Looks like I only have a short time to live
Nope, the deep fried breakfast is offsetting the orange juice sugar spike and therefore is good for you!

got t2 diabetes and never came across that pony before
red wine is good for u but not a bottle every night, think the water is in the region of 8 pints per day, 8 pints of beer is ok as it contains the right sort of electrolytes
as has been mentioned all things in moderation including exercise
