I had a small pot of this last summer and my it was tasty. I really REALLY want to make some myself but cannot for the life of me find a recipe.

Has anyone come across it before? And most importantly, do you have a recipe?!

Its not the sort of thing you can make at home really.

I think the whole idea is to make it in vast quantities and get slaughtered whilst you do.

Gorgeous stuff though, quite simply outclasses jam in every way when on a scone with clotted cream.

Rats.

Can't I just get slaughtered whilst making it at home?

I've found a recipe that calls for 700lbs of apples and I'm half tempted to bodge it a little and see if I can come up with something similar. I suppose the worst that can happen is I have an apple puree on my hands.

Anyone know a decent supplier for this stuff? Had some in Jersey about 6 years ago and I still remember how great it was, unfortunately it really does seem to be only available in Jersey.
