I need to cook for the missus tonight and I'm bored of the usual stuff. I was going to make a super hot chilli-con-carne (as mentioned in my cold discussion), but there is half a chicken in the fridge that must be eaten tonight so that's off the cards.

So....basically.....the main ingredient is half a ready cooked roast chicken.

What can I make that's both great to eat and easy to prepare?

Ideas! biggrin

Chicken Ceaser Salad?

Go to M&S, they'll do the salad and dressing in a big box - all you need to do is add the chicken.

+1.

I wouldn't fry cooked chicken, but in a pie it will be nice and moist.

If you can't be bothered with pastry, call it a stew and serve with mash.

Pie is also good too....needs a good mushroom sauce and leeks as mentioned. Only I don't have any pie tins and Austria isn't the best place in the world to buy these....(might have to pick up a tray when I'm in Dublin later this week scratchchin)

Get some good chorizo, fry in a small amount of oil until its own paprika oil leaks out, throw in some chipolatas and brown off, add rice, fry it out for a minute to coat, add chicken stock, cook rice until fluffy, add spring onions, throw in shredded chicken and some prawns, toss (dish, not you), serve, await applause.
