I don't buy fizz very often so I'm not sure if I'm making this up but have prices rocketed recently? I got SWMBO a bottle today and I'm sure it was 50% cheaper last time I got some.

Credit crunch?? Meh!!

Was in Epernay last year and visited the Moet factory, they were selling 1999 Grand Vintage Moet for 33 euros a bottle and 1999 Dom perignan was 65 euros. Even with the echange rate these days it's still worth the 2hr drive from Calais to get a few boxes. wink

The 2000 Moet was £50 but on 3 for 2, Dom Perignon was £120 (So £80 on the 3 for 2). IIRC last year Moet was £30 before offers.
