.....on marmite toast, with a few rashers of crispy smoked bacon, and maybe a dash of ketchup, covered in cracked black pepper. Is this the best food ever? I think so. When I say runny, I don't mean like water, just runny enough that you can almost pour it out of the pan. God, I'm starving.

Do you do a slump test every time, to get it right?

Slightly O/T, but omelettes: TV chefs always seem to have them runny in the middle hurl

It's always seemed wrong to me....

No, but the amount of times I f*ck it up and over cook them, always feel like throwing the pan at the wall.

Throwing at the wall gives you a different kind of scrambled egg.

My favourite brekkie is at our local Loch Fyne restaurant: scrambled eggs on toast with smoked salmon (or grilled bacon - which I switch to every now and then to make sure I haven't been 'converted' in my sleep)

The only bit that should be runny is the yellow. The thought of runny egg white makes me want to chunder, no matter how much cracked black pepper it is adorned with

Any form of egg with runny white sounds gross.

scrambled eggs should be slightly running and mixed in the pan.

milk and cream is just wrong, butter and cracked pepper is right.

maybe...
