Had some roast chicken in the fridge for a week now sealed in a bowl, would it be ok to chop it up and stir it into some pasta and sauce?

Probably fine...

But personally I'd bin it and go veggie for a night.

Work never truly believes you when you ring in next morning and claim to be a helpless liquid poo fountain. _its best to save that excuse for a time when you really need a duvet day.

Smell it. If it smells alright it is, if it doesn't it isn't.

A week ... I'd not bother.

If the chicken was anywhere near date before you cooked it, avoid. In fact, avoid anyway if it's a week old. I've only had food poisoning once, and that was from old cooked chicken, I wouldn't recommend it.

I'm with you. Although if it has a green/blue sheen then bin it. Ditto pork.

With minced beef the sheen is OK and maybe a little bit of green furry stuff IF you have a good digstive system otherwise don't even think about it (or do it 2 or 3 times, be sick, have the sts and get used to it !) You do have to cook it well though.

Game should have the sheen to give it a proper taste IMO (2-3 week hang). I have had crawling pheasant - tastes fantastic but not to everyones taste (or stomach).

If you cooked it properly the first time and your fridge is working properly, it should be ok. Smell it! Remember how we eat 'game'.

Make sure you cook it properly; over 80 degrees C.
