A nice bit of gammon.

just been to the shop, got a nice bit of gammon, and now Im unsure what to do with it. (now I know some people will say 'get a proper steak', I do have but want some gammon)

normally it would be fryed gammon with some chips and pea's.

but now reading some articals in this part of PH got me thinking.

I've got some pinapple, (pinapple enzymes helps to break down the meat and makes it more tender plus tastes soo good)

so, what does FD&W think of putting with and/or cooking the gammon.

If you want to go real bloater, then once in a blue moon I would do the gammon and pineapple but with a thick layer of cheese melted across the top of the gammon and pineapple, your arteries will restrict at the thought, but it is ruddy luvely!

I occasionally knock up some 'old skool' parsley sauce if I don't fancy the usual fried egg/pineapple dilemma. Its surprisingly good. Especially with a handful of mature chedder/gruyere stirred though the sauce just before serving.

Fried egg x2. Thick cut chips, mushy peas, HP sauce, couple of tins of Boddies.

Enjoy.

Smoked gammon, 2x pineapple, 2xfried eggs with runny yolks, 2xgrilled tomatoes, fat chips, peas and sweetcorn. Tommy sauce on one side of the plate, BBQ sauce on the other. Hmmm...one of my fave comfort food dishes.
