A few months ago there was a series on channel 4, Morrissey and his Buddie opening a pub and starting a micro brewery. I was in tesco's and noticed it on the shelf so I out of curiosity I bought a bottle.
Had a taste, took another mouthful to make sure then poured the rest down the sink not to my liking.

Their pub is just up the road from me. The beer is more than passable in draught - maybe it doesn't bottle and travel too well.

The food is excellent - my birthday on Monday so might go there to celebrate.

i've seen their Blonde beer on the shelves in my local Tesco too in passing, does anybody know if it is bottle conditioned or not?
i'm not usually a fan of bottled beer so i don't tend to take a closer look...

Don't buy it,honestly,I made the mistake and bought one and can honestly say it tastes like gnats piss ,more like lager, how it's described as an ale i never know.

i had a look into the brew via the intraweb thingy and it is brewed using a lager yeast/malt IIRC funny enough so its a bit of a hybrid beer really (it could probably suit being served at "chilled" temperatures too, like chemically made kiddy pop "lager" indeed...) i have tried cask beers brewed similarly in the past that can be quite nice tho' (Buntingford Polar Star being a notable example)
i think i shall give it a miss then, TBH i gave up on regular bottle beers ages ago and even BC brews can be a bit hit and miss too IMO
if Morrissey & co were to introduce it on draught in a few more pubs i might be more keen though...
