Stuck for ideas for meal/hamper thingy
Discussion
Okay, this may be a stupid idea, but bear with me. I've just started seeing a girl and ordinarily we'd be going out/staying in/doing something tonight. Problem is she's a student and has exams coming up and can't spare any time whatsoever from her studying (long story) and she's not likely to stop to cook properly, even if she had any real food in the flat which isn't too likely.
So I had the idea of going round with a meal for her, drop off it off and leave. We completely overinduldged on take aways over Christmas, so pizza/curry/chinese are out. I don't know any proper restaurants round here that do food to go. And I'm a crap cook (plus would have a 20 minute drive from my place to hers).
I guess what I'm looking for is something I can put together with minimal preperation that would do the trick while not looking like a bag of groceries from Tesco. Maybe not a meal, but a mini hamper/picnic or something like that?
Anyone have any ideas??

How about a selection of antipasti and cheese, together with a fresh baguette? Your local supermarket deli should be able to provide you with small portions of things such as Parma Ham, Brie, pate, olives etc. These could be placed on a board and covered in cling film. All she has to do is unwrap and eat, something she could combine with study if really necessary. You could even include a mini bottle of 'fizz' so she can have a mini new year celebration if she is so inclined.
