smile I have to share some joyous news with you smile

I have an obsession with Chilli Sauce, and have a current selection of approx. 15 types from which I can select to enhance my food.

My all-time favourite is Franks Red Hot Cayenne Pepper Sauce. Utterly delicious. Unfortunately this sauce has only been on sale in the US and as a consequence I have had to bring supplies back (10 bottles last time!) with me every time I go there on business. You just couldn't get it in the UK, and so like the saddo I am I wrote a letter and e-mailed Reckitt Beckinser (the manufacturers) begging them to distribute it here. I heard nothing, and consigned myself to a life of excess luggage charges when returning from the US......

....until today that is.

Picking up a few bits and pieces at the new Sainsburies in Stortford this morning,I ws perusing the 'world foods isle' when to my utter astonishment and unbridled joy, there is was in all it's glory, Franks Red Hot!!.

My life is complete! woohoo

Apologies for being a complete saddo. Anyone else have a favourite?

Franks is your favourite? I've just bought a bottle, not that impressed, bit too much like Tabasco, and not really that hot at all.

My favourite is Encona with Papaya for flavour.

I have a thing for Buffalo wings, and Franks is the closest you can get out of a bottle....

I know it's not hottest - my selection of Srirachas sates that particular need!

Dont you think it tastes too much like tabasco though?

I can recommend the Byron Bay chilli sauces especially the Cayenne sauce.

I bought a decent one from Morrisons of all places called Cholula (http://www.chilefarm.co.uk/cholula_hot_sauce.html)

Both sauces are great to throw on everything.

some of the byron bay stuff as mentioned is quite nice.

I prefer the blairs sauces however. If you like super hot the death sauces are quite potent, but if you prefer flavour over fire eating posturing, they cater for that too smile

http://www.scorchio.co.uk/super-sauces-c-53.html they stock em, found them to be quite good

Onion and Chilli Jam

Dear god my life was not complete until I found this. Add it to shepherds pie, perfect with steak or sauasages. Just amazing stuff

I tend to use HotHeadz or Scorchio for online ordering but will check out Chilliworld as it does look quite good.

yes but I prefer to taste my food rather than fight back the tears while choking it down. I'd choose a korma or makhani in the curry house over a madras, jalfrezi or vindaloo without even thinking.

I'm a chilli poof biggrin I don't care!
