A GREAT curry in Sheffield?
Discussion
I have lived not far from Sheffield for over a year.
I have yet to find a great curry. Went to Mangla on Sat. It was fine - fresh food etc but not authentic or interesting or particularly tasty.
Have tried a few others.
Currys are pretty subjective ie plenty of people like the restuarants I dont rate.
I quite like Akbars - I havent been to the Sheffield one (Rotheram).
Surely there must be a top quality authenic place somewhere in Sheffield ?

Nirmal's is good. Authentic. I'm not sure which road it's on though.
Blimey, is she still going ? It is on Glossop Road, top of West Street. Expensive when you were a student ! Whilst good, not a patch on Wakefield/Huddersfield/Bradford etc.
Ah the good old days of West Street. There used to be a pub near Nirmal's which was done out on the inside to look like you were on HMS Victory. What ever happened to theme pubs!
