This poll will, of course, be used to justify the nationalisation of banks.

Surely that depends on the tea.

If you visit the tea plantations out in Sri Lanka etc you will quickly find out the opposite. The tea we get, especially tea bags, are the low quality stuff after the rest of the world has been serviced. We get the 'dust' if I remember rightly.

Depends on the tea bags used. PG Tips Pyramid bags in a cup with boiling water and left to stand for 5mins before taking the bag out is the best of the mass produced. Twinings Assam being the very best.

Similar with loose leaf if time and more than one cup to make.

I'm a loose leaf man, about 10 cups a day of a couple of different kinds.

Although as supermaket available teabags go, I'm partial to Clippers Organic White tea.

The majority of tea bags just contain tea "dust" as apposed to tea leaves.

So I vote loose, but it is a lot more hassle wink

Use bags as it's the easiest (laziest) option.

If I could detect some small amount of improved flavour from loose tea, then I might consider the hassle of using it, but I can't. So I don't. So there.

For those of you who complain it's more hassle, I have one of these.

Result, I spend less time in the kitchen, can re-use my tea leaves and don't require to dirty a spoon guddling about with a tea bag.

I am sure bags are fine if you like your tea to taste of wet paper...

Not to mention that almost all commercial bags are filled with the 'fannings' and 'dust' left after the decent tea has been sold at a premium.
