Birthday Cake Ideas

Hiya Guys,

Looking for some sugestions for a birthday cake for one of the guys I work with.
It can't contain chocolate, and I'd like it to be entertaining.
We've only got a loaf tin and a 8" sprung form tin and I don't really want to buy anything new.

So far, I was thinking a kind of sponge cake, with a slice cut out, iced yellow with some darker orange spots of icing so it looks like a wheel of cheese and some little fondant mice on top?
