No one in this country should be allowed to eat the barbaric ritual slaughter meat via Halal or Kosher.

Says who?

The RSPCA among many others.

I despise the weak minded politicians that have allowed this slaughter to become common place.

Vile repugnant trade.

Eh? Surely you mean all meat is bad to eat? I doubt a bullet in the head is any kinder to the animal. It still dies

It's not a bullet, it's a rod that's fired into the head and then retracts into the gun, hence captive bolt.

Then it's throat is slit.

Whereas halal they skip the gun bit.
Most abbatoir workers i know can't watch on the halal days as they find it too cruel.

The one thing i can say though is halal slaughterers do take very good care of their knife and sharpen it between each cow unlike a normal slaughterer so in that respect they do make sure it's as painless as it can be (within their religion)

Somehow I doubt that very much. For a start it is not cruel. I know many farmers do 'home-kills' for their own meat (are they cruel?)

It seems bks how a religion can determine how an animal is slaughtered!

Ok cruel wasn't the right word.
Gruesome would be better.

And FFS i'm not saying it's bad.

I've shot cows for my own consumption, but i don't know any farmer who runs out and slits a cows throat without shooting it.

In fact in my preceeding statement where have i said that killing animals for consumption is a bad thing, if you've ever seen any of my posts on the matter you would know i'm of completely the opposite view and i've followed thousands of cows from the field right through to the packaging side of an abbatoir. rolleyes

Kosher and Halal slaughter goes against the UKs very own animal welfare laws...... just another example of Britain bending over.

Most lambs/sheep wouldn't be shot, just have their throat slit.

Interesting.

The 100 or so sheep i helped in killing were shot.

Admittedly that's the only time i've been involved with sheep slaughter.

In an abattoir. yes, but if a farmer was killing a couple for a feast then no.

Plenty of Halal places in Watford. Depends where you are. Not that it matters now that your lunch is over.
