There aren't many in London, you'll be lucky to find an Indian let alone one with a restaurant.

£75 a head? Blimey, is that what a curry costs now in the UK? It's been a few years since I was in an Indian restaurant in London but we were paying around £25 each with several beers.

Ahmed next to Wimbledon Station. Proper flock wall paper and a few fish in a tank, the real deal and good grub too. About £25/30 a head including a few beers.

Not one of these ponced up Indys.

I went to a place between Stamford Bridge Football Ground and Fulham Broadway tube that was fantastic, can't remember the name though.

That's east London, OP wants west London. Therefore what about Southall??

Not very west but the Red Fort on Dean St is usually ace.

Wouldn't Southall be more like £75/ten heads? Used to go to the Mothi Mahal (sp?) in Southall, years since I've been ...

To be honest as has been said you can get better / more authentic in Brick Lane, although that's very low rent and cheap...

er, that's good isn't it? Why spend more than you have to. I must admit, I've never looked for a restuarant for £xx per head. I've always looked for the best value for money, even if someone else is paying.

Veeraswamy in Regent Street or Chutney Mary in the Kings Road. Very, very good food. Not your usual tandoori st. Modern, creative cooking.

Don't eat at any indian restaurants in central london. Way way overpriced and not good quality compared to ones located just outside of town. In west london, i'd be looking at Mantra (Hounslow), Laguna (Ealing) or Madhus (Southall)
