Best Restaurants in Cheshire/Shropshire

Just after a bit of inspiration for a really nice evening meal, I have Rookery Hall and Simon Radley at the Grosvenor in my head, just wondered if anyone had any more suggestions?

Heartily recommend the Grosvenor. Pricey, but you get what you pay for and the wine list is extraordinary; make sure you quiz the sommelier. Some sensational cognacs served also.

With regard to Shropshire, THE best restaurant is Osteria di Paolo on Hills Lane in Shrewsbury. Do not believe anyone who tells you different (now that Hibiscus has moved to the big smoke, and Underhills has closed). Book well in advance to experience simple Italian cooking at its best.
