I'm craving apple pie. Going after work to buy one but having huge dilemma over what to have it with. I will let you PHers decide...

Double cream. Lashings of it. So much that you can almost drown out the pie.

In fact, scratch the pie and just drink the double cream out of the tub. It's what I'd do/have done....

Have you rigged the poll?

Tried to vote "Custard" and got the classic PH Message "Something's not quite right!"...

Slightly left field this, but a bit of cheddar is an interesting combo with apple pie. Double cream is my personal favourite, though...

Funny you should say that, I'm quite into the idea of having custard with it!

How did you manage to find out that combo? Were you stuck temporarily blind by the light in the fridge and freezer when serving it?

Ice cream. Obviously. But only if the apple pie is hot; if the pie is cold then hot custard.

Any other choices just make me sad.

Factory-made custard is hurl

Even the thought of putting a spoonful of it in my mouth makes me gag.
