So.. I have 2 chicken breasts and a few 4 inch long chorizo sausages.

I fancy doing something slightly different.. I have done the usual Tapas type stuff but open to suggestions for something else - Spicey, creamy, tomatoey etc..

I have all the usual stuff, garlic, spices, herbs, onions rice etc..

Ideas please.

You could..

Fry some onions, garlic and Chorizo and chicken add a tin of chopped tomatoes and some smoked paprika maybe a can of butter beans or serve with new potatoes. Serve with sour cream.

That's pretty much exactly what I had last night, only I had it with homemade garlic bread instead of spuds, it was lovely lick

We make a paella type dish with chicken and chorizo. We use thighs mind, much more flavour and more moist.

Thanks for your suggestions.

I think I'll go for the Jambalaya.
I have some Tiger Prawns as well to throw in.

Delia has a pretty simple recipe here
http://www.deliaonline.com/recipes/chicken-jambala...

Has anyone tried this with Paella rice instead of Basmati..?
It is very similar to Paella as a recipe.

Ready yourself to cook the chicken breasts in a white wine, tarragon and cream sauce with some lemony sauteed potatoes & asparagus. A nice simple midweek tea.

In the short term, leave work now complaining of Diarhoea, pick up some cold beers on the way home and eat all the chorizo and drink all the beer in your pants(Trilby optional) whilst watching telly in the garden.

The winning post. I should think.

I can't see anything topping that.

That Delia recipe looks similar to the one we do.

Chop up the chicken and chorizo and stir fry it then leave to cook for a bit with onions and peppers. Make a quick honey & mustard sauce (literally just mix honey and mustard), then add pine nuts to the mixture (and whatever else you fancy) and serve with pasta and green salad smile
