Fuller's Vintage Ale
Discussion
Anyone else out there got a bottle (or two) of this? Got given one at Xmas. The whole idea is that, whilst it has an "official" best before date, you're supposed to keep it for a few years and let it mature.
"Although we are obliged to state a best before date of 2011, like a fine wine or whisky, this mellow golden ale will improve with age for many more years."
Not sure I can hold out until 2011, let alone any longer.

Dear All,
I've been enjoying this for some years - strong (obviously), slightly sweet, very deep rich full flavoured
.
Defintitely a savouring sipper rather than a session-er. Start it as an aperitif and complete with a medium curry, say a rogan josh.
If you go to Waitrose regularly look out for it on special offer and buy several
Keep for a while and then open one per year, it really does get better
,
regards,
Jet
