Anyone else out there got a bottle (or two) of this? Got given one at Xmas. The whole idea is that, whilst it has an "official" best before date, you're supposed to keep it for a few years and let it mature.

"Although we are obliged to state a best before date of 2011, like a fine wine or whisky, this mellow golden ale will improve with age for many more years."

Not sure I can hold out until 2011, let alone any longer.

Seen lots of that in Waitrose. Didn't realise you had to wait to drink it...

Beer is beer... get it drunk!

Don't p!ss arse around.

Drink it, then find a pub that sells some good quality Fuller's Chiswick Bitter. It'll be just as tasty, if not tastier, and you can drink more of it whilst getting gently banjoed.

Chiswick bitter is not as good as fullers vintage...not by a long stretch! the chiswick is something for in-at-11 old soaks to get pissed on, the vintage is something special indeed smile

/looks out of window at Fullers brewery.

Dear All,

I've been enjoying this for some years - strong (obviously), slightly sweet, very deep rich full flavoured drink.
Defintitely a savouring sipper rather than a session-er. Start it as an aperitif and complete with a medium curry, say a rogan josh.

If you go to Waitrose regularly look out for it on special offer and buy several yes
Keep for a while and then open one per year, it really does get better smile,

regards,
Jet
