I enjoyed a fantastic lunch at Ramseys place today eating 6 dishes, plus cheese, over 3 hours and enjoyed every bite. Great décor, attentive staff and lovely wine too.

Favourites were pigeon with chocolate, pumpkin latte with duck, Ramseys take on a BLT, Lamb with tongue and the rice pudding. Beautiful smile

Anyone else been? I was impressed......but then i'm easily pleased.

Agreed on lazy lunches, 13.00- 16.00 today which is a very unusual luxury.

The restaurant was fairly busy, but far from packed out.

I'm having my doubts now, as while the lounge area was quiet, maybe the tables were all full? To be honest I can't be 100% sure, but I think some tables were empty, it certainly didn't 'feel' full.

I was a guest of someone, but I do know that they booked the table two weeks earlier.

It is my favourite London restaurant. yum And, with the recession, you don't need to book far in advance for 'off-peak' times.

Hospital Rd used to be 3 weeks rolling.

Wasted a good proportion of my life trying to get a table there until someone told me the easy way.

It was busy when we arrived, but I think that we just outlasted them all Paul smile. It's a good lunch if you're the last to leave...

BLT in a Martini glass was the most surprising thing on the menu for me. All of it was absolutely superb, but the shin of veal, Pork Belly/Pig's Head with roasted langoustine and the cheese course (with truffle honey) were personal highlights. thumbup

The very same. Essentially a Tomato jelly (they'll have a posher way of describing it I'm sure) with a layer of white stuff, a layer of green stuff and a few bits of bacon and very small onion rings perched on top. You're meant to gulp the whole thing down in three spoonfuls, making sure that you get a collection of everything from top to bottom on each spoon. Sounds odd, tastes cloud9 and was accompanied by the daintiest Croque Monsieur I've ever seen or eaten.

I think I'll leave the gulping down of a mouthful of "white stuff" to you, Stuart hehe
