I would appreciate recommendations for a very nice Italian restaurant in the Middlesex/Herts border. Food and Ambience are main priorities, cost not important.

This is for a booking this week-end so would appreciate responses soonest, please

Thanks

Zaza in Rickmansworth is very nice.

Start with a couple of drinks in the newly refurbished feathers across the road. Lovely evening out IMO.

cheers but TBH I don't tend to dine in Italian restaurants that often especially outside of London

the only one I that springs to mind is The Alpine in Bushey but I haven't been there for over 10 years so don't know what it's like

Thanks. Been there recently, and the total experience does not match the past excellent reputation.

There is a place in Old Hemel, can't remember the name of it though.

Thanks - I believe you are referring to Alberto's. It's Ok, But a bit far for the Middlesex people joining me and so I will be focusing on the Rickmansworth, Northwood, kind of area. And looking at Zaza -mentioned above. Thanks to everyone.

Fellini in Hatch End used to be pretty good - not been for 4/5 years though.

That's a good recommendation, and location works well.

Ended up at Rucola on Station Road in Little Chalfont.

Excellent Italian restaurant, and would certainly go back again.
