The outdoor cooking thread
Discussion
Seeing as it's that time of year and I'm sure the majority of PHers enjoy cooking with fire it seems only right we should share ideas and tips for whipping up a storm in the garden.
First up, I like to cook in the chimenea. Firstly baste some (ideally large) chicken breasts in the baste of your choosing, we tend to use Budwiser BBQ marinade. Once it's basted wrap it up well in foil and drop in to the red hot embers in the chimenea.
It depends on how big the chicken breasts are, but we normally leave them for around 20 minutes before they are done.
Also whilst with the chimena, pop some marshmallows on to some sticks that have been soaked in water (so they don't burn) and lay them across the top of the chimenea. The best marshmallows we've found are from CostCo which is also where we get the big chicken breasts from.
Next on the list of things to try is smoking in the new Weber BBQ

I need an outdoor cooking station badly. I can't decide between brick-built, gas or charcoal.
For convenience I do fancy a big gas 3 or 4 burner barbeque that I can just wheel out and ignite, but the purist in me says charcoal all the way.
Problem is, I can't find a good quality gas example for reasonable money and can't be mithered with building my own.
I need to get a grip don't I?
