I've been given a jar of date syrup as a bit of a random present. Any suggestions / recipes for date syrup?

Combine with rapeseed oil to make Date Rape dressing?

Tahini and Date Syrup Dip (Dibis W'rashi)

1/2 cup date syrup
1 tablespoon tahini
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (to taste)

Blend all the ingredients together in a bowl.
Serve with fresh flat bread.

Having finally got the jar open and tasted it, it has a smoky flavour that would work wonderfully with tahini and a grilled bread thumbup
