I'm really fussy apparently.

I love 1664 from a bottle but not tins or draught
Tennents is good from tin, cack from everything else
Carlsberg export is good from bottle and sometimes draught
Guinness, draught only
Stella, can only
Peroni, bottle only
Cobra, draught onl

Am I weird? I have mates who will drink any beer, any way.

Even when it's piss-warm hurl

I just drink it.

If someone came up to me with say (for argument's sake) Foster's, and gave me the choice of all three, I'd have a bottle.

The OP has a point.

Lager: Bottles only. In a can it always tastes metallic and draught lager in the UK seems to be redirected straight from the urinals.

Guinness, Boddingtons, Tetley's etc. taste best on draught but are suprisingly close in a can, I wouldn't bother with bottles.

Ale: Mainly draught, sometimes in bottles but they never seem to capture the proper flavours.

+1 yes

Draught all the way for me, even bottle conditioned Real Ale can be very hit and miss IMO

Lefty, it's not just you,i know loads of people, that are the same.

I drink kronenbourg in pubs, and won't drink it from one of those
widget glasses (that make it bubble) with the logo all over it.

I often get mine served in a guiness glass that dont do the bubble thing

Usually bottles

But as a fan of guiness and a lack of a consistant draught in the local I bought myself a "Surger Unit" a few years back. Not usually one for gadgets but it consistantly gives me the best guiness I've had outside Ireland.

Only problem is getting the cans (and I've only a few left)

Not Beer but the biggest difference I've tasted is "K" Cider, was fantastic in those black bottles but tasted pish from a can

Couldn't agree more.

Unless we're talking Guinness Foreign Export Stout, which is high voltage black witchcraft in a bottle.

Out and about - off the tap into a pint glass.
Home - bottle

I love Budweiser, hate it in bottles and I struggle to find it served from the pump anywhere. frown
