I'm on a rogue bottle of rosé found in the fridge. Why? Because my gf is on nights and I'm home alone, silly!

Out of date Newcastle Brown Ale..

Because the fridge has no more cold lagers (and warm Newcy tastes better than warm lager)..

Hendrick's gin. Had some in the pub last night and fell in cloud9

Chuffin' 'eck, £20 it was, when Asda 'Smart Price' gin was on the bottom shelf for £6.97. But it's worth it. smile

good thread, don't as a rule drink in the week but tonight is different - curry and whisky (Singleton of Dufftown 12 Year old single malt) to try and rid my body from this horrible cold!

Mmm, must try. Someone else was screaming the merits of it the other night to me.

That good is it?
It is. Try it with thin slices of cucumber in, rather than lime or lemon. Wierd, but it works.

If you've any cucumber in the fridge, get some of it in your G&T. Hendrick's lends itself very, very well to it!

I was drinking Sainsburys own brand low alcohol lager which was suprisingly nice.

I am on the low alcohol stuff as my wife is going to have a baby anytime soon, so I have to stay sober just in case.
(the stuff was brewed in Germany and was nicer than the Becks Blue I have been drinking over the weekend).

Not really weird. The gin is already infused with cucumber, so adding additional fresh cucumber is simply bringing that infusion to the fore.

I was drinking an SMWS whisky (turns out to be an Arran - a dram I've never tried before) and it was lovely.

In fact, I was really puzzled as to what it was before I looked it up in the SMWS archives, really like no other malt I've ever tried.
