Inspired by the omelette thread, i eat eggs relatively rarely but really fancied a spanish omelette tonight with some salad.

Why is it that you have to buy 6 eggs and a lots of fresh salad and is only available in big bags which go off very quickly or worse buy the base components which is more of a waste ?

Is there a market for 2 or 4 boxes of eggs and a small salad?

Eggs last for ages so it's only the salad you need to worry about.

My local Waitrose (North London) does one particular brand of eggs in 4s, but they cost about the same as 6, around £1.60

Ooh I thought this thread was all about me for a minute!

I'm not sure if there is a market for them or not, you need to find somebody to go halves with you smile

I've definitely seen packs of 4 eggs before, but as mentioned, they last for ages anyway.

Salad is a problem though! I always hunt at the back of the shelf for the freshest bag...

Why would you want less than 4/6 eggs?
That's one omelette wink
