Looking for a decent Asian restaurant, withing say 45 mins of Docklands in any direction for tomorrow for a late lunch. Food got to be great and looking for something fairly chilled or with a really good atmosphere - something that sets it apart from the norm. Any ideas?

Cheers

Are you an adventurous eater?

The Old Place in liverpool st is good (bright, airy space with very good food) but you need to be comfortable with "real" chinese food rather than sweet and sour....

Sounds great, I'll check it out. From what you say she will love it. Not going tomorrow now as made other plans but will go sometime over the next couple of weeks.

Thanks

Have you tried Dockmasters over at West India Quay?

Indian inspired fine dining.. great for dates / romantic nights.. nicely spiced without being a curry house.

It's a great place. But I hear mortgages are hard to get these days.

Dockmasters is a good call.

smile especially as last time I went in I ended up in a lockin with all the staff and the manager, then once we'd drunk the bar out of vodka and brandy, they dragged me to a club in farringdon :P

Great food though.. I'm sure it will get a star at some point.

Bliss in summer.

If you don't mind coming 'Up West', try Hakkasaan, just off Tottenham Court Road

I am around that area a lot as I hang out in Soho and also pop into an office there at least once or twice a week. Added to the list.

Always loved the fact that whatever you ask, someone on PH will come back with a good answer.
