Pub near Russel Sq

Oh god the shame.

Not only am I a Londoner, i used to work here.

But either way, im stuck for a really good, London pub to take a yank to on a saturday night within a couple of stops or a short walk of Russel Square this weekend.

I'd appreciate some suggestions as whenever I think of one local to that area, I think of a similar, but better one, thats miles away - and im not interested in dragging my friend halfway across london for a simple beer after he's flown in.

its not really a good one though, is it? i even avoided it when i worked there because it was full of estate agent types on a friday night yelling at each other outside...
