Sorry to bring this thread back but I've only just found it 
Don't know about the one in Louth but The Red Lion at Partney is quite good.
But the best place to eat in the area (or close to) the OP mentioned is The Half Moon at Alford.

Much better than 'pub grub' at less than 'pub grub' prices - makes the Red Lion seem like McDonald. They also serve real beer
Close enough for Cadwell Park as well!
While back I sold a car to a guy from Scotland and recommended The Half Moon - he said it was the best place he had stayed in and the food was some of the best he had ever eaten.
So if you come toSkegness Cadwell, and you should do it is a great circuit, give it a try.
