fillipino i think. the initial discussion was regarding vomit-inducing chinese food with my chinese boss. she hadn't heard of the balut, but we still came up with a fair list of culinary crimes against humanity.

it started as we have a guy in the office who is the fussiest eater in the world. i mean, he won't eat certain colours of food. idiot.

anyway, this conversation turned to chinese food, fish lips, chicken feet etc. then our boss started a stpry with 'thats nothing, when i lived in china i ate.......' and carried on from there. i was adamant that the foetus thingy was chinese.

apparently there is a chinese saying along the lines that they'll eat anything with its back to the sky. i.e. anything besides us humans.
