I had some homemade Limoncello at a party recently, and wondered how easy it was to make?

So anyone made it and is it worth making it, or is the brought stuff as good/cheaper?

Will try to remember to point the missus at this thread - she makes her own.

Tastes far better than the manufactured crap you buy off the shelves. yes

my cousin makes her own including fragolino and nocetto and it's eaqually good as the better brands

Buy it whilst in Italy, think the last bottle I got cost about £5.

Yeah I asked him if you could buy it, but he said it is better homemade, or from Italy where it's dirt cheap.

Here you go:

Finely pared rind of 8 Lemons
1 Litre of Vodka
Leave for 20 days.

Then:
Make a syrup with 800 g sugar & 1 litre of water strain & add syrup.

As given to me by an Italian lady.
