Not one of my usual car related threads, but I think these things deserve a mention, in their own right smile

Thought I'd give these a try this morning as a food substance, but having experienced them, I think they've got a much better use as some kind of flood barrier on the nearby River Severn.

Put my usual half pint of milk in, finished off my cuppa to return to what looked like a three Weetabix shaped turds staring back out of my bowl.

Another half a pint later, and these bds are just laughing at me. Not a drop of milk left, just a mortar like substance, that even the best of builders would be proud of.

Anyone want a 21 pack of Oatabix for nothing ?

Either that, or I'm going to ask the factory next door, if they want them for clearing up oil/fluid spills.

Poor choice of cereal there pal, not even sure if they constitute food really.

I like the mini ones with apple and sultana in them. You have to be pretty snappy getting them eaten though.

They're even nice dry, but be careful when you have a drink later. (If you've even seen a dog that's got into it's dry food sack and eaten loads, you'll know what I mean.)

I'm not convinced any of them constitute food. Remember the "Not the Nine O'clock" news sketch? With the head of Kellogs defending cornflakes as "particularly nutritious if sprinkled on food".

Anyway, OP, thanks for the giggle!

Not the nine o'clock news? One for the older listeners! biglaugh

I don't really get that advert with the blokes singing on the lorry. I don't get it. I don't get it.

I don't get it.

Just think if you had eaten them before they had soaked up the milk, probably wouldn't have been able to swallow them but they could have dehydrated you from the inside out!.

Ah. Me neither, for ages.

Untill I saw the full version, which has them driving in silence, stopping for breakfast which they eat in silence, and then, having eaten Oatibix, get in the cab and get their spaz on.

Every time before it was just them going all Mika in the lorry.

Think it's trying to say that a bowl of Oatibix gives you energy, or something.

I thought the advert was great, and went looking for the product. After some months I found a packet to try, but the product looked and tasted like recycled eggboxes. Should have binned the contents and eaten the packet really.

I've heard that happens if you put all bran out for slugs, they eat it & it swells up inside them frown
Off topic, how do you remove dried on Weetabix from the cereal bowl?

Hammer and chisel normally. Presumably it does much the same inside you! yuck
