As there is a lot of sport on the television and the OH has to work Saturday and Sunday this weekend, I will have the run of the TV to watch it all.

With this ideal scenario in mind I need to plan my snacks, particularly Sundays as I may be summoned to the pub on Saturday evening.

So far all I have is a big packet of salted cashew nuts, a variety of crisp packets (but nothing fancy), some good cold meat for sandwiches and there will be a left over Enchilada that will be getting reheated on Sunday just before the GP starts. Beer is covered as I stocked up on Stella last night in Tesco, bargain deal by the way, 20 cans for £10!

So I put it to you good men of the Food, Drink and Restaurants forum to ask how would you perfect this snack set up? Do you go posh? Do you slum it? Or somewhere in between?

You need some duck spring rolls, mini sausage rolls and of course, a fk off bag of salt and vinegar Kettle chips, if you can bring yourself to spend £3 on a bag of crisps that is. Robbing bds

There is no maximum budget for this as I would normally be out with the OH on a Saturday afternoon having my account drained!

But £3 for crisps that feel like the bag has been opened for a week when you chew them is a bit steep!

Definately not kettle chips.. Just like weeks old crisps left open.

Doritoes lightly salted, and Hot Salsa thats been in the fridge.. You can always dip the mini sausage rolls into the salsa too idea

How can people not love kettle chips. The texture and crunch is what makes them, hence why they are best when plain or with simple flavouring, with maybe a cool dip.

Do you have a sandwich toaster tucked away in the back of a cupboard feeling unloved? Dust it off and tuck into ham & cheese toated sadwiches.

That's similar to what I had the other evening. Though I didn't have any butter, so I brushed the bread with chilli olive oil, added the last of my ham, couple of sliced cherry toms & some fresh Greek Basil.
Went shopping the next day!
