A service station restaurant has been included in The Good Food Guide after a makeover by celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal.
The Little Chef, on the A303 in Popham, near Basingstoke, scored two out of 10 points in the industry guide, comparable to a good quality gastropub.
New dishes include braised ox cheeks and Hereford steak and Abbot ale pie.
Blumenthal, whose Michelin-starred Fat Duck restaurant in Bray, Berkshire, topped the guide, was "overjoyed".
The menu also includes an "Olympic" breakfast of free-range eggs, outdoor-bred British pork sausages, Wiltshire-cured back bacon and Ramsay of Carluke black pudding.
It was so welcoming, vibrant and had a real buzz. I'm confident other diners will think so too
Elizabeth Carter, editor of The Good Food Guide
Blumenthal filmed a Channel 4 TV series to try to revive the fortunes of the roadside chain in 2008.
The guide said the restaurant has "decent cooking, displaying good basic technical skills and interesting combinations and flavours. Occasional inconsistencies".
Elizabeth Carter, editor of The Good Food Guide, said: "The minute I walked in I knew it belonged in The Guide.
"It was so welcoming, vibrant and had a real buzz. I'm confident other diners will think so too."
Blumenthal's Fat Duck scored a perfect 10 for the second year, beating Gordon Ramsay's restaurant Chelsea.
He said: "I am overjoyed with this news.
"Inclusion in The Good Food Guide is a great barometer of success and it's fantastic news for Little Chef Popham to be recognised by such an established British food guide."
The Fat Duck was forced to close for more than two weeks in February after 400 diners complained of having fallen ill. Tests later revealed the norovirus was to blame.
