A Blini is quite small and thick actually...

Anyway, crepe with sour cream and caviar, i must try that!

The Blinee , the wife makes ( shes Russian ) are about the size of a 12" record wafer thin , light and fantastic ,

I have been practicing but mine never turn out as well as hers

Our chef offshore in the Caspian Sea makes fantastic Blini's with rice/mince/fried egg bits inside like a little parcel and they are one of the only edible things he makes.

Buckwheat galette with cheese (emmental/comte mix is good), ham and an egg is great, or Grand Marnier on a standard crepe.

My other half ended up with a fly cooked into the edge of her crepe at a recent trip to the zoo with my little sis which is not recommended, especially as she's a veggie hehe
